Alexander joined Boon Valuations in February 2016 after an 18-year career in public accounting / valuation practice and industry. His valuation experience ranges from valuing private companies for M&A transactions, external financing and various ownership resolution purposes, to assessing corporate business development and reorganization initiatives, to business interruption, personal injury and various economic damages valuations.
Alexander’s other experience includes external and internal audit and corporate finance roles through which he has acquired a knowledge of IFRS, US GAAP, audit methodologies, SOx compliance, COSO framework, internal control system design and corporate finance function overall. Alexander has direct experience with oil pipelines, pulp & paper industry, forestry, textile manufacturing, flourmills, commercial real estate, banking and asset management companies as well as one-off exposure to numerous other industries through public accounting and valuation practice. Alexander’s PhD research and dissertation were focused on valuation methodology and specifically methods for valuing investment projects with R&D stages. While in graduate school, Alexander was an Assistant Lecturer on quantitative investment analysis and published articles related to his research. Alexander is an alumnus of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, Enbridge Inc., Alberta Investment Management Company (AIMCo) and Viking Bank Group of Companies (Russia). |
